Introduction
This Chrome extension, "Timeline Gallery" (the "Extension"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension handles and how it is used.
Information Handled
The Extension turns the X timeline on x.com / twitter.com into an image-focused gallery inside your browser. It does not require account registration and does not send personal information, analytics data, advertising identifiers, or location information to our servers.
The Extension temporarily reads DOM information on X pages, including posts, images, buttons, and display context, to decide what to show and how to adjust the layout. It does not store or upload post content, images, authentication tokens, or cookies to our servers.
Stored Settings
The Extension stores the following information in Chrome storage.local:
- Whether Gallery Mode is on or off
- Whether videos, GIFs, and multi-image posts should be included
- Install time, content-load count, and the title, URL, and timestamp of the last page where the Extension ran
This information is stored locally for status display, settings persistence, and development verification.
Purpose of Use
Locally stored settings and temporarily read page information are used only to:
- Apply Gallery Mode on the X timeline
- Let the popup toggle the mode and keep that setting after reloads
- Classify image posts, ads, quote-source cards, reply contexts, and related display states inside the browser
External Services
The Extension does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers. It does not upload page content, posts, images, account information, or usage activity to our servers or third-party servers.
Normal actions you take on X, and X menu actions the Extension performs based on your own interaction, may be processed by X as part of its service.
Sharing with Third Parties
Except where required by law, we do not provide settings or usage activity stored by the Extension to third parties.
Retention and Deletion
Settings saved by the Extension are stored in Chrome local storage. They remain there until you clear extension data or uninstall the Extension.
Security
During normal use, the Extension does not send data to a backend server. Processing is completed inside your browser.
Children's Privacy
The Extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The updated policy becomes effective when posted on this page.
