Information We Collect and Store
The App primarily manages learning data locally on your device. When you use cloud sync, ads, billing, or AI features, necessary information may be sent to our servers or third-party services.
- Learning data (progress, proficiency, session results, etc.)
- Learning settings (targets, modes, goals, etc.)
- Account information (email address, display name, etc. when you sign in)
- Device identifier (anonymous ID generated in-app)
- Purchase information (subscription status, tokens/transaction info for verification)
- Advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID) and consent status (for ad delivery)
- Access logs (IP address, user agent, etc. when using sync or AI features)
- Inputs to AI features (requests for etymology/word explanations, etc.)
The App does not collect location information. Advertising identifiers may be collected for ad delivery (they may not be collected when using an ad-free subscription).
How We Use Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide learning features and save progress
- Provide cloud sync (only when signed in)
- Verify purchases and apply subscription entitlements
- Display ads and manage consent
- Provide AI explanation features
- Investigate and improve issues

Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services:
- Developer-operated server for cloud sync
- Google AdMob (ad delivery)
- Google User Messaging Platform (ad consent management)
- Apple App Store / Google Play (in-app purchases)
- Paddle (web billing)
- Google Gemini and other AI services (AI explanations)
Payment information (e.g., credit card data) is processed by the app stores/payment providers, and we do not collect or store it. Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for the information they collect.
Sharing with Third Parties
We may send information to third-party service providers to the extent necessary to provide the service. We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent or as required by law.
Data Retention and Deletion
Data stored locally is kept until you uninstall the App. If you use cloud sync, synced data is stored on our servers while your account is active.
When you delete your account, related data on the server will be deleted (it may take some time to complete).
Security
We strive to protect the collected information, but we cannot guarantee complete security of data transmission over the internet.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The updated policy becomes effective when posted on this page.
